Established in late 1999, ARCHITECTs Touch is a small design driven business devoted to selling innovative accessories for home and office over the web.
All products are designed by owner-architect, Richard W. Berman. A lifelong interest in designing small products led him to begin this new e-business. Over the past dozen years his designs have been sold in select retail stores and galleries under the name RWB Design. But the web offered the perfect opportunity to sell his limited production pieces direct to a worldwide audience... thus ARCHITECTsTouch.com was born!
Richard is a Registered Architect with a recent Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Originally trained at Rhode Island School of Design, his work and interests grew over the years from his initial practice of architecture in New York City. Forays into furniture design eventually led him to experiment with product design, using an architectural palette of stone and metal.
His designs have been displayed at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (N.Y.), the Whitney Museum's Store Next Door (N.Y.), Gallery 91 (N.Y.), and the Weatherspoon Art Gallery (N.C.) among others.
